DeliverLean: I Miss You {Review}

I’m not going to lie – the first day my DeliverLean food didn’t arrive was rough.  After a 6 day trial of the DeliverLean program, I was suddenly confused as to what I was going to have for lunch, if I was eating enough during the day, and I didn’t even want to think about dinner.  My world was tossed upside down, simply because a black cooler bag wasn’t outside my door that morning.  I was actually kind of sad about it.

Think I’m exaggerating?  Oh, but I’m not.  You see, during my 1 week trial, I got very used to fresh, gourmet food delivered right to my door.  And I loved that the entire DeliverLean team was only a phone call away if I had special requests or needed something changed.  I mean, how could you not get used to that kind of service?  The bottom line is, I have too many things to worry about during the day – daycare drop offs, fighting traffic to/from work, fighting fires when I get into work, and all the little hiccups that normal life brings with it – to worry about food.  But not worrying about what I’m eating normally lands me in a drive thru somewhere or with a man bringing not-so-healthy food to my front door.  But fresh, gourmet, and healthy food delivered right to my door – how could I not like love that?

For me, DeliverLean was never about losing weight, it was about simplifying my life.  And DeliverLean accomplished that goal.  For one glorious week I had balance.  There were no arguments with my husband over “What’s for Dinner?”, which is no doubt our biggest disagreement on an average day.  It allowed me to quickly make something for the girls to eat while I heated my food, putting us all at the dinner table at the exact same time.  And it helped that the food was not only filling, but delicious too (with a ton of variety!).  Like I said in my first post, I never had a bad meal while on DeliverLean and I was never hungry.

What do I miss the most?  Breakfast.  Hands down.  These Banana Nut Pancakes will live in my dreams forever.

So where does this all put me?  I’ve contacted DeliverLean for a quote to restart my service.  Seriously.  I’m still working out how many meals I want to get and how many days I need delivery, but my trial was enough to make me want to sign up on a long term basis.

If you’re looking to simplify your life and eat healthier this summer, you should give DeliverLean a try.  And right now, they’ve running a Lean Summer special – 2 days free when you purchase a 1 month plan.  Click here for more details!

Disclosure: I was provided a one week trial of DeliverLean to facilitate my review.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.

    Interesting. I’ll have to check them out and see what options they offer. We’re a gluten free low-carb family, so maybe they’ll have something for us?

      Yes! They have gluten-free, paleo, traditional, organic and HCG menus available. I got to try a little of each and they were all delicious!

  5. Hmm… Do they include Canada? I would love a wonderful, delivered family meal plan that’s not just take out garbage. I suck at cooking on a daily basis!

  6. That is what I love about Nutrisystem but after I finish with that I would love to check out DeliverLean!! Thanks for sharing!

    Those pancakes look delicious. I am put off by food that arrives ready for you, but I love that there are more options now for people with special dietary preferences.
