DeliverLean: My Own Personal Chef {Review}

As a busy mom with too many obligations and not enough time, mealtime is a major problem in our house.  Always has been.  And I’ve written about it oh so many times.  But it’s not just feeding the kids that can be a problem, finding meal options for myself can be really tough.  So when I got the opportunity to try DeliverLean, I jumped at the chance.  Literally, I may have actually jumped out of excitement when I got the email.  Healthy meals delivered right to my door?  Portions already determined?  No need for the “what’s for dinner” conversation?  Sign me up!

If you’ve never heard of them before, DeliverLean is a healthy, gourmet meal delivery service.  The plan is easy.  First, you pick a meal plan.  They have all sorts of menus to choose from, including Paelo, Traditional, Gluten Free, Organic, and more, depending on your individual goals.  Then you choose how many meals you’d like to receive.  There are 5, 6, or 7 day plans, with each day containing 4 meals (there are even deserts that can be added!).  After providing your individual likes and dislikes and speaking with one of their nutritionists, your service will start and one of these will end up on your doorstep bright and early.

Each bag is fully insulated, cooled with ice packs, and contains 2-3 days worth of food (depending on the delivery options you pick).  Meals are cooked fresh every day just before they are delivered, with deliveries being made on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Each meal is individually packed and marked with the day it should be consumed, along with the exact number of calories, protein, and carbs.

So by now, your probably wondering what I’ve been eating all week.  Oh where to begin – there have been so, so many yummy options. Like Peach Chutney Chicken with asparagus, Banana Nut Pancakes with syrup, Teriyaki Beef Kabobs with snap peas, Herb Chicken with spinach, tomatoes, and Squash, and so many more.  Oh!  And don’t forget dessert!  Their vanilla cake with orange glaze was divine.

After a week of being utterly spoiled on this program, I can honestly tell you that I haven’t had a bad meal yet.  And with four meals being delivered per day (plus the occasional dessert), there’s no chance of being hungry.  Honestly, there are days when I can’t even eat all 4 meals…it’s a lot of food.  And if by chance I do get something that I don’t like, the DeliverLean support team is standing by, just a phone call away and they’re always happy to change your menu options.  They’ve even been extra careful about the allergy issues that we have in our house.  It’s like I have my own personal chef.  I kind of love it.

If you’re looking to eat healthier this summer – just before bathing suit season – I highly recommend DeliverLean.  And right now they’re offering 2 days free when you sign up.  Click here for more info!Disclosure:  I received a free trial of the DeliverLean service to facilitate my review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  1. Very cool. Most meal deliveries are frozen. Love that these are fresh!
