School picture day is tomorrow. [Insert heavy groan here.] It’s not my favorite day, but I suppose I’ve written about that before… The pictures never turn out great and yet I feel compelled to buy them, and of course there must be a catastrophic chocolate milk spill in the back of the car on the way to school. But as I was scrolling through my phone yesterday I found so many pictures of the girls that their teachers had taken and sent to me over the past 3-4 months. These are some of my favorites:
And while ordinarily I don’t want anyone taking a picture of my messy baby, I was okay with this one. Mainly because Hazeline and her clothes were clean when I picked her up!
And because my kids don’t nap at school, here they are at naptime.

Those are gorgeous pics! And yes, I agree, posed school pictures, especially the spring ones, kinda stink.
And they’re so, so expensive! But this year I may have beat the system – I’m having their pictures taken together. I pay for one set of pictures, instead of two, and maybe they’ll smile if they are together (because all I get are fake, forced smiles when I get them done individually). Fingers crossed!
My school pictures were never good. The school photographers that I always had were terrible! I hope my daughter’s will be better than mine.

Completely in agreement with you on the school pictures. Out of five children’s pictures, it was a rare occasion we posses even a single picture that we felt deserved being passed along to family members.
