Wordless Wednesday: Dying Easter Eggs

Easter was a bit rushed for us this year.  Sure, we got the notice on the calendar like everyone else, but with Blissdom in Dallas the weekend before and Hazeline’s Minnie Mouse birthday party the day before (posts on both coming soon), we didn’t have much time to prepare.  Which meant we were all up late the night before Easter dying eggs in our pajamas.  Hazeline loved decorating eggs…and lucky for us, there were only 2 casualties.  I’m pretty sure that’s a decrease from last year.  Thank goodness you hard boil the eggs before decorating them.

And yes, that’s a reindeer on Greenleigh’s pajamas.  My kid dyed Easter eggs in Christmas pajamas.  I rock motherhood.

You rock motherhood; love it! My daughter has been asking to wear her Santa jammies too. I don’t mind since it’s been a bit chilly at times. Santa and the Easter bunny go together right? Great photos!

  2. Oh for fun! We haven’t even attempted to dye eggs yet…but maybe sometime soon.

  3. Easter always seems to be too big a rush at our house! Next year I am going to try and slow it down!

Too cute! My daughter still has Christmas pajamas in her “PJ drawer”.

  5. I am still in complete shock that we not only did not decorate eggs this year but I also forgot to make boiled/deviled eggs for our dinner.

You are so awesome and I am not letting my kids see this site. Hehehe….

One of these Easter’s I will have a go at letting the kids dye eggs. It’s not really a big deal of a thing in NZ though lol.
