Normally when I’m approached to review a product, I know right away if I’m interested in reviewing it. But when I was approached by Bobbi, a Lilla Rose consultant, to review the Flexi Clip, I’ll admit – I was a bit skeptical. I mean, I have tons of hair clips. And I think it would be fair to say that my cosmetic case is overflowing with hair bands. And those alligator clips? They may not be in style, but I have enough for all eternity. After all, I’m always looking for a way to keep my hair up and off my neck, especially during the hot summer months. Have I mentioned that it’s hotter than the surface of the sun out there? Because it is. But the more I looked into the Flexi-Clip the more intrigued I became.
Lilla Rose is a network of independent consultants who specialize in jewelry and unique hair accessories. The Flexi-Clip is a patented, one-piece hair clip designed to work for all types of hair, from thick and short to long and fine (and everything in between!). It can be used to pull your hair all the way back into a chignon, or just used to keep the shorter pieces of your hair out of your face in a sort of half up, half down style. The key to the Flexi-Clip is its sizing. It comes in 7 sizes from Mini to Mega. And there are tons of designs to choose from, so no matter what your style, there’s sure to be something for you. But the thing that surprised me the most as I researched the Flexi was all the positive reviews it had received. Virtually everyone who had tried it, loved it. I soon became convinced that I needed to try this clip. Could it really live up to the hype?
I got my Flexi-Clip in a size small and it fit perfectly. Unlike the alligator clips I’ve used in the past, the Flexi holds my hair securely. With alligator clips, my hair often gets too heavy for the clip and it ends up falling backwards. I mean, my hair stays contained in the clip, it just doesn’t stay up. I’ve never had this problem with my Flexi. I put it up and forget it. It’s simple, but elegant. Just yesterday, I was headed to a mediation when I caught a glimpse of my hair in my rear view mirror. It wasn’t pretty. I immediately grabbed my Flexi from my purse, and in seconds I had hair that was pulled back in a beautiful clip. I didn’t even need to brush it, the Flexi hid all the flaws. Even Erajh has commented on how much he loves this clip in my hair. But best of all, the Flexi is one piece. Once long ago, I had a similar style clip, but it was 2 pieces. Within days, I lost one of the parts leaving the part that I did have completely useless. By being one piece, the Flexi removes this concern, so I know that I’ll be using and loving this clip for years to come.
So there you have it, I the last month, I’ve gone from skeptic to believer. It really is as awesome as everyone says. And I’m sure that this isn’t going to be my last Flexi-Clip.
