Taking the Plunge

A little over two years ago, I decided that I was going to start a blog.  I thought it would be a great way to keep friends and family in the loop on the birth of our first child and keep track of her growth.  But…then I didn’t.  And quite frankly, it just got easier to put it off than actually sit down and write.  Which is funny, because I love to write.  I just kept thinking to myself, “what if I don’t have enough to say?”, “what if I don’t have anything interesting to say?”, and “what if no one reads it?”.

Over the years I found myself reading other mommy blogs, all the while thinking to myself,  “I should totally do this!”.   I have watched their kids grow up, and while I have never met them, I feel that I know them.

Now, I’ll admit – this is not my first blog.  I started a blog a while back when I was planning my wedding, and after a few posts it was abandoned.  Over the past few weeks I have found myself sharing more and more funny stories about my kids with my family, friends, co-workers, and, let’s face it, anyone who will stand still long enough to listen.  I have toyed with the idea of starting a new blog, and finally decided it was time.  If not now, when?  In another 2 or 3 years?  I think it is time to commit.   And of course, all of this comes with a promise solemn vow to post often and share all the funny details my kids provide me with.

So here it is.  My sparkly new blog.

No turning back now.
