Shark Week Snacks: Jaws Jello Cups

Shark Week Jaws Jello CupsAre you enjoying Shark Week so far?  I am!  Each night brings a few more hours of educational, shark programming and my family is loving it!  We faithfully tune in every night, but my kids want more sharks.  An hour or two after dinner just isn’t enough.  So I’ve been trying to do a little bit more in our house to celebrate the goodness that is Shark Week.  Earlier this week, I put together a list of Shark Week books for kids and then a good friend of mine mentioned these amazing Jaws Jello Cups that she’d made last year during Shark Week…I knew I had to make them!

The best part about these Jello cups is how easy they are to whip up.  You only need a few basic ingredients and kids can decorate them with sharks any way they’d like.  If your kids are shark crazy like mine, they are absolutely going to love them!

You Will Need:
1 Box Berry Blue Gelatin (and ingredients required on box)
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 cup Confectioner’s Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Gummy Sharks

Step 1 – Prepare Jello as directed on the box and pour into smaller parfait-size bowls.  Place in the refrigerator to chill for a few hours, or until set.

Step 2 – To make the whipped topping, pour heavy whipping cream into the bottom of a medium sized mixing bowl and add confectioner’s sugar.  Beat cream with a mixer on high until stiff peaks begin to form.  Continue beating on high and slowly add in the vanilla extract.  Place a small amount of whipped cream on each of the Jello cups.

Tip: Be careful not to let your whipped cream sit too long before serving, as it can soften and become “liquid-y” again.

Step 3 – Garnish your Jello cups with gummy sharks and take a large shark-size bite!Easy Shark Week Jaws Jello Cups

Then sit back and enjoy all the Shark Week entertainment!
