Power in the Shower with Waterpik {& $100 Home Depot Gift Card Giveaway!}

The night before I had Everett, I had a friend of the family come and stay at the house to take care of the girls in case I went into labor in the middle of the night.  Being 40 weeks pregnant and due that day, I was exhausted and frustrated.  I was done being pregnant.  And I suppose I wasn’t hiding it very well, because around 9pm she suggested that I let her take the girls upstairs to bed and told me to go take a hot bath.  Normally, I would have protested, but this time I didn’t.  Never being much of a bath person, I decided to hop in the shower before heading to bed early.

And it was probably the most heavenly shower I think I’ve ever taken.  Something about not being rushed by a schedule or worried about the kids losing their minds.  I had time to enjoy it.  The water pressure was perfect and seemed to wash away all the frustration.  The steam was rejuvenating.  The water temperature was fabulous.  I felt so much better after that shower…well, as good as I could feel given that I was still 40 weeks pregnant.

Bottom line – something as simple as taking a shower can make a bad day so much better.  But not just any shower, it has to be a Waterpik shower, preferably with the new PowerSpray+ EasySelect Hand Held Shower Head.

Waterpik’s new PowerSpray+ EasySelect Hand Held Shower Head installs in minutes and has 5 custom spray settings: full-body spray, powerspray, water saver, circular massage, and mist.  It’s on a 5 foot cord so anyone in your family can use it and there’s no place it can’t reach.  And if you’re a fan of water pressure (because, let’s face it, it can make or break a shower), you’ll be happy to know that this shower head increases water pressure by 30%!  But the thing that makes the PowerSpray+ Easy Select shower head different is that you adjust the spray setting you’d like by turning the spray selector on the handle – there’s no need to reach through the water stream or touch the actual shower head itself.  It’s easy as can be.

No matter what your shower routine, the Waterpik PowerSpray can help.  In our house the mist and water saver features are perfect for the girls.  It’s a bit less water which makes it easier for them to handle, considering they’re still little.  My husband prefers the massage feature, especially early in the morning or late at night.  I, on the other hand, prefer the powerspray for the ultimate water pressure experience.  Individual preferences aside, we all love Waterpik.

If you’ve been thinking about changing your shower head, you can pick up the Waterpik PowerSpray at Home Depot.  There’s even a $10 rebate available through Waterpik right now!

    I bought this from a local members only ‘club’ store. I originally purchased it to help make giving my twins a bath easier with the handheld shower head with hose. It replaced a 15 year old contractors shower head that came with the house when it was built. Needless to say, it was a dramatic improvement. My wife was the first to use the shower and she absolutely loved it. Water flow was much more consistent and very soothing/relaxing. The improvement probably has more to do with the fact it replaced a crappy old/cheap shower head than anything else, but never the less I am going to purchase a second for the guest bathroom.The added bonus for me was that because of the way this shower head mounts to the existing pipe, it actually raises it about six – eight inches. I am 6′ 1″ and the old shower head was probably right around 6′. It was great to be able to stand straight up in the shower when washing my hair/face without being an inch away from the old shower head.I agree with one of the other reviewers who said that it did not look cheap. It actually looks much more expensive than the thirty dollars I paid for it.Installation literally took five minutes. If you know how to turn a wrench, you can install this shower head.
