ZooGue: Protecting My iPhone Better Than Ever

Ever since I got my new iPhone on Mother’s Day, I’ve been worried about it breaking.  More specifically, I’ve been concerned about the screen getting cracked.  And because my phone keeps my girls so quiet and happy, it spends a great deal of time in the hands of a toddler and a preschooler, who are, um, not as careful as I would like.  But don’t give them the phone?  Well, that’s not really an option either…this mom has things to do.  Just handing over my phone easily buys me 10 minutes of peace and quiet to get things accomplished.   So when I got my iPhone 5, I immediately snapped on a case and prayed.  Often.

And then it happened:

Do you see what I see?  A crack right there in the top of my iPhone case.  I think we can all agree – better the case than the phone screen, but still.  And now I need to worry about the fact that my case was not as strong and that the screen might not survive the next fall.

So I went looking for a new case.  I wanted something colorful, but not too much.  I wanted something that couldn’t crack like my old case.  And most importantly, I wanted something that would protect my phone in the event of an unfortunate accident.  It was right around that time that these ZooGue iPhone cases landed in my mailbox.  The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. If you’ve never seen a ZooGue case before, this is the iPhone 5 Social Pro case, which features a slim and sleek design that has a 5 foot drop screen protection.  And for extra safety and protection, it’s made with a matte finish and side grips.  I received three of the colors, but there are actually 6 colors available (white, grey, and navy blue are not pictured).    Although it took me a while to get my old case off my phone, this ZooGue case snapped on very easily.  It completely covered my phone, but gave me access to silent switch, camera, and data ports.  The on/off button and volume control buttons were both covered by the case, but I was able to operate those functions using the buttons built into the case.  I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the matte finish feel of this case, but you can tell the difference – it’s much easier to grab a hold and keep a hold of.  Best of all, I love that the ZooGue case is made of dense TPU, a much softer material than my old hard case.  It’s much more lightweight and most definitely don’t have to worry about this case cracking!
So while I’m definitely going to be more careful about giving my phone to my kids, it makes me feel a lot better knowing that it’s protected by a ZooGue case.

Don’t have an iPhone 5?  No problem!  ZooGue makes tons of cases for all kinds of electronic devices – iPhones (4, 4s, and 5), Kindle, Galaxy, Galaxy Tab, and so much more.  Make sure to check out all their options by visiting the ZooGue website!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
