I’m a Labeling Fool Thanks to Lovable Labels {Review &Giveaway!}

Seriously, it’s an addiction.  Ever since I got these labels from Lovable Labels, I just. can’t. stop.  Sure, it started innocently enough – a sippy cup, a backpack, some shoes…but now I realize how many ways these labels can be used and I love it.  Labeling has gone from a once in a while thing, to an everyday thing.  Now I put labels on the tags of our stuffed animals (so if they go to a friends house they can be deciphered as my child’s), tupperware, snacks, Hazeline’s soy milk that I send to school each week, you name it – I’m labeling it.

I’ll admit this behavior is a bit odd considering I’ve never been good with labeling my childrens’ things in the past.  When Greenleigh first started daycare, the teacher was always reminding me to mark her stuff with her initials so it wouldn’t get misplaced or sent home with another child.  I tried, I really did, but for some reason I could never find my sharpie when I was packing her daycare bag on Sunday night, so I promised that I’d do it on Monday morning when I dropped her off (daycare seems to have a never-ending supply of sharpies).  But of course, I didn’t.  I don’t even want to tell you how many blankets and toys we lost that year.

Started in 2003 by a mom that had the exact same problem, Lovable Labels makes it cute and easy to label my girls’ items.  And there’s no need for a sharpie!  Each label is a high quality sticker, which is waterproof, dishwasher and microwave safe, sun safe, bleach safe, and temperature safe.  The bottom line – These labels are pretty tough cookies.  And if you think there’s only one kind of label – like I did – you’d be very wrong!  They have clothing labels, allergy labels, multi-purpose labels, specialty shoe labels, tags, and so, so much more.  Right now, they have Friendship Packs which include over 123 labels PLUS 40 slimlines for a friend.  That’s over 160 labels…and a whole lot of labeling fun!  And the designs?  Well they are just adorable.

For my Friendship Pack, I got Hazeline the full pack of labels because she’s the one that regularly has to bring things to school.  I selected the Whimsical Love Story pattern, because I thought she’d love the little frog.  Since Greenleigh is her best friend, Greenleigh got the slimlines.  Greenleigh thinks these labels are great and whenever I hand her a cup she looks at it and says, “Hey, this spells me!”.  Then she proceeds to spell her name at least half a dozen times.  Hey, they’re convenient and a learning tool – I’ll take it!  By the way, if you’re wondering what the difference is between the regular stickers and the slimlines, I think this picture sums it up pretty well.

The slimlines are probably between 1/2 and 1/3 of the regular size sticker, but contain all the regular “stick” of the regular size.  I haven’t had any problems with either the regular, slimlines, or fun stickers falling off the items that I’ve put them on.  And they’ve been through the dishwasher more than a few times!
