Word-ish Wednesday: Nighty-Night

So I’ve given up on the idea that I can do a completely wordless post, so from now on I think I’m going to call my Wednesday posts “word-ish” (light on the words, heavy on the pictures).

Every night we take the girls upstairs, change them into their pajamas, and then bring them to our room.  At that point, Greenleigh gets her breathing treatment and the baby gets her bottle.  Once the treatment and bottle are done, we watch the rest of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse together and hang out as a family.  It is a great way to wind down at the end of the day.  Here are a few pictures from tonight.

I’m totally out of focus in that last picture, but I love it anyway.

Do you have a night-time routine?  Anything special you do with your kids before they go to bed?

What sweet photos. I love the first one. And I think that you are out of focus in the last shot is sort of cool.
Our bedtime routine (with a 4.5, 3 and 1.5 yr old) is like this
After lesson time we get dressed for bed, sometimes we have story time (which is an acting out of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and also The Three Little Pigs). Then we brush teeth, have Bible Time and head to their bedroom for hugs, kisses and prayers. Then I take the 1.5 yr old into my room for snuggles (she stopped nursing about a week ago, I am 21 weeks pregnant and I either stopped producing enough or she didn’t like it anymore, I don’t know, but I still hold her til she is asleep while I watch tv)

Your girls are so adorable! I love baby girl’s cheeks. Our nighttime routine is to always read a book. My son’s favorite is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, too.

How did you come up with the name Greenleigh? My mid name is Leigh and it was from Gone with The Wind. Stopping in to say hi from the blog hop – hope you can visit and return the favor soon 🙂 http://www.shaunanosler.blogspot.com/

I actually found the name in a baby book, but it was spelled Greenlee. My husband and I didn’t like the “lee” part of it, but we liked the name, so we changed it. Turns out there was actually a character on a soap opera with the same name, or so everyone told us after she was born. I don’t think it’s on the air anymore though, because we haven’t gotten that comment in a while.
