Is it October yet?

I know, I know, it is only the beginning of September, but I just can’t wait until October.  More specifically, the end of October.  Why?  Halloween.  It might just be my new favorite holiday since we had kids.

Erajh picked out the costume for Greenleigh, so I’m working on finding a costume for Hazeline.  These are a few that I’m considering:

From Pottery Barn Kids (Pony & Owl)

I like this unicorn costume, but it only comes in size 1-2 years.  Hazeline is on the chunky side, but I don’t think it would work.  Cute though.

These costumes from Carter’s are adorable: (kitty & duck)Maybe I should go a more traditional route and have her be a pumpkin?  I really like the tutu on this costume, but I’m girly like that. (Target)

Or perhaps this pink poodle from CostumeCraze:

I’m also considering the Disney approach: (Snow White & Belle)

I’m pretty sure she would just end up eating all the tulle on the Belle costume though.

You also have to factor in weather.  It is just so hot down here during October, that I don’t want to get a costume with long sleeves if I can avoid it.  Greenleigh’s first Halloween, I forgot that it is still very hot in October and got her a long sleeve costume with fur.  Good thing we didn’t trick-or-treat that year, but this year we definitely will be.

Choices, choices.  Opinions?  Suggestions?  I’m all ears!

I’m excited too! I ordered Giada’s costume a few weeks ago… You can never be too prepared to have adorable children. The puppy is my favorite of those–makes her cheeks look all rosy.

I like the puppy too, and I was almost completely sold on it until I got the PBK catalog the other day…that was what started all of this. I’m actually surprised I don’t have her costume already. I think I had Greenleigh’s first Halloween costume picked out in early August.
