School Box Club

When you gift your child with a monthly School Box Club subscription, the company donates an identical box to a child in need. How cool is that?  Each customized box contains fun school supplies, reading books and educational activities. You can specify the recipient’s favorite subjects and areas that he or she needs to improve upon. You can also indicate things like hobbies and favorite sports teams. If there are certain school supplies you don’t need, in the next shipment, you have the option of listing those as well.

The subscription price for the School Box Club is $29.99 per month. If you pre-pay for several boxes in advance, the cost is even less.

For lessons in geography and culture, check out Little Passports!  Designed for kids ages 3-12, Little Passports takes your child on an adventure across the country or around the world with every box delivered.  For adventures for the littlest subscribers even arrive in a little suitcase shaped box!  Older explorers can select between the World Edition or USA Edition, to further customize the program.  The cost per month ranges from $11.95 to $17.95 per month, depending on which plan you select, but the total amount is billed at the beginning of the subscription.  Shipping is additional for Little Passports kits.

Kiwi Crate

Founded by a mom of 2, Kiwi Crate is intended to foster creativity and curiosity in kids.  The hands-on learning experiences in each Kiwi Crate are the perfect blend of learning and doing, with lots of art projects.  We had a Kiwi Crate subscription for almost a year and my kids loved it!  Kiwi Crate can be purchased in 3 month, 6 month, or 12 month subscriptions ranging from $60 to $205 (in other words Kiwi Crate is $20 per month or less depending on how many you buy).  They also have mini crates and past crates available under the “shop” tab on their website.  Be sure to look out for their other crates too – cricket crate, koala crate, doodle crate, and tinker crate – each one geared towards a specific age group!
