Red Velvet Fluff Dip {Recipe}

December is upon us and our annual holiday party is this weekend…as in, 3 days away.  Three.  Eeek.  As much as I’d love to tell you that I’m completely ready for this shindig, I cannot.  There’s still so much to do!  Cleaning and shopping and wrapping and cleaning…did I mention cleaning?  Lucky for me, there’s one huge item already checked off my list – food.  The menu is set and ingredients have been purchased, plus many guests are bringing items to share.  When it comes to food we are pretty much set.  And this Red Velvet Fluff Dip? Yep, it’ll be there!

If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you know that I love all things red velvet.  In fact, “love” might be an understatement.  So while many of my friends shy away from red velvet during the holiday season – reserving it more for Valentine’s Day – I embrace it.  It’s festive and decadent and there’s so many ways to serve it.  It was really a foregone conclusion that I would find a way to work red velvet into my holiday menu somehow, I just wasn’t sure how until a friend shared her recipe for this amazing dip.  It was then that I realized this must be a part of my menu.

Even better, this Red Velvet Fluff Dip can be whipped up in minutes which will leave you plenty of time for cleaning and shopping and wrapping and cleaning this holiday season.  I’m hoping that my guests like it as much as I do…and that I don’t eat it all before they arrive!

You will need:
8oz package cream cheese, softened
1 jar of Marshmallow Cream
1 1/2 tablespoons red velvet instant pudding powder
Dash of Vanilla Extract
Red Gel Food Coloring
Step 1 – Mix cream cheese, marshmallow cream, red velvet pudding powder, and vanilla extract until well blended.
Step 2 – Mix in gel food coloring to get the color you prefer and stir until color is evenly distributed throughout.
Step 3 – Serve immediately with shortbread cookies or fruit.  If you’re not planning to use it immediately, chill until serving.  Enjoy!
