Refreshing Melon Cocktail {Recipe}

Refreshing Melon Cocktail - Perfect for Summer!Are you ready for the weekend?  I am!  I don’t know about you, but some weeks feel longer than others, and this has definitely been a LONG week.  Between recovering from a quick trip out to L.A. last weekend, a slight snafu at summer camp for my oldest yesterday, and tending to sick kids, this week has really kept me on my toes.  This mom needs a restful weekend…and maybe a refreshing Melon Cocktail, too.

Never had a Melon Cocktail before?  You’re missing out!  Packed with fresh fruit this drink is a keeper and a must have on your summer drink menu!
Melon Cocktail Recipe
The Honeydew in this drink gives it a light, crisp flavor which is accentuated by a pineapple twist.  It’s a whole lot of “yum” in a glass, perfect for poolside, your next gathering, or just relaxing by yourself after the kids are in bed.  It’s easy to mix up too, requiring little effort and just a few basic ingredients…perfect for that relaxing weekend I have planned.

Step 1 – Chop your Pineapple, melon, and pineapple juice and place in a blender.  Puree your fruit for 1 minute, until frothy.  Be careful not to over-blend, 1 minute should be plenty.
Step 2 – Fill your glass 3/4 of the way with ice and add Malibu, Bacardi, and Absolute Citron Vodka.  Pour your melon mix on top of the ice and liquor mix and stir well.
Step 3 – Garnish with lemon and lime.  Serve, sip, and enjoy!Melon Cocktail Directions - Perfect for Summer
