The local fish-and-chip shack opens for the summer. I get an order of haddie bits every year. The best around for many miles. And the soft serve ice-cream is a seasonal treat, too.
Oh, and reading outside without need of a sweater. That’s nice too.

Not much to be honest. In the winter, how cold you get outdoors depends completely on what you decide to wear. In the summer, you cannot control how hot you get out doors some or most day, not even were you to walk around naked.
I suppose the thing I like most is outdoor locations being open. Pools, beaches, waterparks, theme/amusement parks, etc. I may not bring my family to them as often as I should but at least that is an option in the summer.
That my hubby gets to be home with me and the kiddos for the summer! He’s a teacher.
