Wordless Wednesday – Easter Festivities!

If you haven’t noticed, holidays tend to sneak up on me.  Like, one minute there are 2-3 weeks to prepare, and then BAM – I’m running around the house the night before the holiday like a lunatic looking for dresses for the girls to wear to church.  And it doesn’t help that Easter is one of those holidays that jumps around on the calendar…sometimes landing in March, other times landing in April, but almost always landing right between my girls’ birthdays and the parties that need to be planned for them.  I had planned to blog about 3 Easter crafts, but only got to one of them.  Oh well, there’s always next year, right?

Anyway, I did want to share a few pictures from our Easter because it was pretty fabulous – egg dying, Easter baskets, egg hunts, time with friends, and even this rare (albeit not great quality) family photo:easterfamilyphotoI’ll take 4 out of 5 of us looking at the camera any day!  But there were lots of smiles (and better quality photos) throughout the weekend.  The girls thought that Easter egg dying was the best…and there were significantly less casualties than there were last.  This year, I even made sure they didn’t dye eggs in their Christmas pajamas.Easter2Easter1We took a trip to visit the Easter Bunny, which was far less traumatic than our Santa pictures…thank goodness.EasterBunny2014

Then he dropped off some pretty full and almost candy-free Easter baskets (and a toy truck for Everett).  Funny enough, their favorite item from their baskets so far are the hair brushes.  You just never know what they are going to get excited about!

Beautiful dresses and the baskets look great also. It is always that way with holidays, isn’t it? I laughed at the Christmas PJ comment. At least they are dressed both years. Jeez! Just kidding. Great pictures and Happy Belated Easter!
