With Black Friday quickly approaching, Hanukkah falling so early this year, and Christmas right around the corner, it’s no wonder that holiday shopping is on my mind lately. Fact is, a lot of people probably have it on their minds lately. And as always, I have a long list of people to shop for – my husband, kids, mom, grandmother, friends, and so many more. I actually thought that I was ahead of the game by considering my holiday shopping list this far in advance, but then someone told me the other day that they got all their shopping done in September. September!? Really? But I suppose when it comes to holiday shopping everyone has their own style.
Me? I’m a procrastinator. I constantly find myself running through the mall on the 23rd or 24th of December, even though I vow every year not to put myself in that position. But here’s the thing – I kind of like the last minute craziness of the mall (minus the chaos of the parking lot, because let’s face it, that part isn’t fun at all) and online retailer sale emails that get better and better as the holiday countdown gets smaller and smaller. Something about all of that makes it feel like Christmas for me. I can’t imagine a holiday season without that kind of craziness.
