Breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table

I’ve been to Disneyland a handful of times and Disney World no less than a million…okay, not technically a million, but a lot.  Like, a whole lot.  I had an annual pass to Disney World when I was around 11 years old and kept it until I was a sophomore in college.  And when Disney introduced the annual pass for Florida Residents a few years back, I once again became a Disney passholder.  Sufficed to say, there isn’t much at Disney I haven’t done.  I know my way around the parks.  I’ve ridden most, if not all, of the rides.  And I’ve seen pretty much every show there is.  I even have my own list of favorite restaurants.  Clearly, I’m a bit of a Disney addict.  It’s cool, I’m okay with it.

But there are a few things at Disney I haven’t done.  For example, I’ve never stayed at the Disney Contemporary Resort.  Always wanted to, but never made it there.  The Polynesian is also on my list.  And since they are always updating the parks, there are a few newer attraction that I haven’t done just yet.  It’s like my own “Disney Bucket List” that I keep tucked away.

Also on that list?  Eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table restaurant in the castle at Magic Kingdom.  But as of yesterday, I can cross that one off!  Thanks to my husband’s persistence, we were able to snap up a last minute cancellation’s reservation for probably one of the most magical breakfasts I’ve ever had.  It all started with a group picture with Cinderella:

And then it was up the red carpeted stairs to a princess filled room with vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and magic in the air:

Okay, okay, you can’t actually see the magic in the air, but trust me, it’s there.  It’s so there.

The kids were given placemats, coloring pages, magic wands, and wishing stars…but of course all they really wanted to do was sit and wait for the princesses to come over and visit.

Luckily, we didn’t have to wait long before autographs were signed:

And pictures were snapped:
The girls got to meet Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, and Jasmine, in addition to Cinderella.  Greenleigh was a bit disappointed that Belle wasn’t there, but got over it quickly.  From what I’ve heard, the princesses appearing vary depending on the day (and as I explained to Greenleigh, their royal schedules).

And although I had absolutely no hopes for the food, since I’ve found character dining food to be less than amazing up until this point, breakfast was delicious.  This was my Caramel Apple Stuffed French Toast:So yummy.  My husband’s Steak & Eggs were pretty good too.

Naturally, the kids were too busy with the princesses, but even their meals looked tasty (and my youngest, age 2, ate FREE!):

About halfway through the meal, Greenleigh announced that she was too happy to eat.  How do you argue with that?  We ended up compromising on 1 french toast stick, 5 bites of eggs, and 2 strawberries.  Probably one of the more expensive meals she’s nibbled at, but it made me happy that she was so happy.  And honestly, I kinda wish I was too happy to eat sometimes.

When breakfast was over, we left with a souvenir picture of the girls with Cinderella – included in the price of the meal – and some great memories.  I’m so glad to be able to cross this one off my Disney Bucket List!

Oh, and Greenleigh practiced her curtsies for the rest of the day…because (apparently) Cinderella taught her how to curtsy.
