Wordless Wednesday: Scootin’ Along

My mom bought Greenleigh a scooter for her birthday and it was love at first sight.  Unfortunately, Greenleigh didn’t have a helmet and her first few test rides on the scooter were…well…not so great.  So this weekend we went out and picked up helmet so she could practice on her scooter.

Greenleigh can only handle going around the block once before she gets tired.  If we go much further than that, I end up carrying the scooter back…needless to say, we avoid going farther than that.

With all this practice, I’m guessing that she’s going to be pretty good by the time my mom comes back to visit in October!

  1. We recently got our 5 1/2 yr old a scooter as well and it amazes me how quick they learn. Just goes to show they need us less and less 🙁 Congrats on the scooter! She’ll be amazing soon and you’ll only remember times like this because she’ll be flying down the side walk

My son loves his scooter – before he could ride a bike alone – he would zip along all on his own. It gave him his first sense of 2 wheel independence!

Super cute! I’m actually hoping to get my son out tonight to finally learn how to ride his bike w/out training wheels. He has been resisting, but it is time. 🙂

She is a doll! Love the pink helmet! You should come to my WW linky party. I just started one!
