Wordless Wednesday: Close Encounter

When I was around 10 years old, my mom took me to Gatorland in Orlando.  I’m not sure exactly why we went there, seeing as none of us were particularly interested in gators, but I’m sure it’s a lot cheaper than a day at Disney, so if I had to guess, that was why we went there.  Anyway, they were taking photos of people holding baby gators, but I absolutely refused.  My mom even tried to bribe me at one point, just so she could get the picture, to no avail.  I was not holding that gator.  Not happening.

Twenty five years later –

Me, holding a gator.  Being a mom has really put things in perspective…I mean, I’ve touched way worse at this point.

  1. You are a much brave lady then me. I prefer to handle them when they’re dead.
