Kaia Couture: Give a Gift with Meaning this Christmas {Review}

Everyone has that one person on their holiday shopping list that totally stumps them.  Whether it’s a co-worker or friend, you just have no idea what to get them.  But for one reason or another, they are on the shopping list and you need to get them a gift (Secret Santa, anyone?).  So how about giving a little spiritual guidance wrapped up in a beautiful gemstone jewelry?  I mean, couldn’t we all use a little beauty and a little guidance?  Well that’s what Kaia Couture is all about.

Kaia Couture specializes in leather wrapped bracelets, gemstone jewelry, and other earthy adornments and gifts – each piece using the particular stone’s natural propensities.  When you buy from Kaia Couture, your not only purchasing something to match your favorite outfit, you’re purchasing something with meaning – strength, forgiveness, clarity.  These are pieces to guide you through your day and obstacles in your life.  These pieces are handmade and soaked in sea salt for at least an hour to remove all negative properties before being sent to you wrapped up in an organza bag and gift box.  To sweeten the deal, Kaia Couture always offers free shipping in the USA and each purchase comes with a 10% off customer appreciate code good towards your next purchase.  They’re even donating $5 of every sale between now and Jan 20 to The Vipassana Meditation Center in Jessup, GA.

For my review, I received the Blue Fire Agate Energy Bracelet   I was primarily interested in the Agate because it’s a gemstone of strength and can help in coping with stress.  With the holidays upon us, a road trip to visit family on the horizon, and everything suddenly heating up at work before the standstill of the holidays, I could definitely use something to provide strength and comfort in stressful times.  Of course, the Agate won’t change an emotion, but it can help acceptance of emotion.

In order to bring out the true power of the Agate, it needs to be smudged once a month.  What is smudging?  I didn’t know either.  Essentially, it’s the process of releasing negative energy through smoke.  My bracelet came with a small packet of sage.  To smudge my bracelet, I lit the sage on fire then blew out the flames.  By waving my bracelet through the smoke it released all the negative energy into the sky.  Although I think it will be hard to keep this process up every single month, but it’s a really neat idea.  I love the idea of releasing the negative energy each month.

I’ve really enjoyed wearing this bracelet over the past few weeks.  First, it fits perfectly.  The gemstones are on elastic, so it hugs close to the skin, but isn’t constricting.  And because the beads are rounded, there’s no pain or discomfort when I rest my arm on my desk during the day.  It’s one of those perfect, out-of-the-way bracelets that’s still very much noticed by others when it’s on my wrist.  Second, I love the look of this bracelet.  As you can see from the picture above, the Agate aren’t smooth, but instead have texture.  This texture catches the light and shows off how pretty the bracelet really is.  I also think that the silver plated beads between the Agate add a delicate accent.  Finally, I love what this bracelet stands for – strength, clarity, comfort in difficult times.  This isn’t just a bracelet, it’s a message.

So if you’re looking for a gift for someone that’s hard to shop for, give them a meaningful gift, like one of these bracelets from Kaia Couture.  It’s perfect for that person on your list that’s hard to shop for.
