Bows-n-Ties.com: Your Husband’s Style {Review & Giveaway!}

My husband wears a suit to work everyday.  Over the years, he’s gathered a pretty large collection of suits, shirts, and ties, but we’re always looking for ways to spruce up his wardrobe.  So imagine how excited I was when I scored the opportunity to review this Cavalleri tie from Bows-n-Ties.com:
I’m pretty sure I was more excited than he was.

In case you’ve never heard of them, Bows-n-Ties is an online retailer of neck ties, bow ties, handkerchiefs, cuff links, and so much more all at affordable prices (prices starting at just $9!).  They have just about every color and pattern that you could possibly imagine, and even carry kids and XL size ties, so every man in your family can be well dressed.  And if you don’t know a lot about ties or the various knots out there, that’s okay!  Bows-n-Ties is not just a shop, it’s a resource.  They have information about men’s fashion, dress code rules, and how to tie various knots under their “Information” section.

Since I didn’t wear this tie, I figured I’d just turn the computer over to my husband to write the review.  So here goes, my husband’s very first blog post contribution (and review!):

Hello y’all, I’m Erajh.    I guess some background on me and my taste in clothes is a good way to start.  I’m picky about the clothes I wear, especially my shirts and ties.  I try to find shirts and ties that are classy, traditional and timeless (except for the occasional Hawaiian shirt to annoy my wife).  I have to wear a tie everyday for my job so I’m always looking for new ones.  I usually pick ties that are multipurpose, meaning I can wear them to court, or to meet clients, going to church, a wedding, or an evening  out, etc.  So needless to say, it is difficult for me to pick ties, plus I don’t like to pay a lot for my ties, as I tend to accidentally spill a lot of stuff on my shirts and ties – yes I’m that guy.

When Jen asked me to  pick a tie on bows-n-ties.com to review, I was excited because I finally got to play in her reindeer games. I picked the purple stripped tie, seen above, probably because Greenleigh was around, and her favorite color is purple.

When we received the tie I was excited to wear it to court.  It was sturdy and flexible making it easy to tie and it stays in place.  If you wear a tie everyday you have some ties that are limp and the knot always comes out way too thin making you look like you were in a 80’s music video.  This tie allows you tie a decent size knot commensurate with your shirt’s collar.

The tie meets my criteria for ties as it is multipurpose, you can wear this tie to any event.  Did I mention I also wore it to a wedding?  I’ve looked over the bows-n-ties.com website and already picked out about 20 more neckties and bow ties I want.  (Spousal note: ties are definitely on my Christmas list).  Thank you for indulging me, I’m going back to my corner now.

Not to shabby for his first time blogging!  Thanks for your review, honey.  You’re welcome back anytime!
