Enchanted Tales With Belle – A Sneak Peek!

Sometimes you’re in the right place at the right time.  And that was exactly the case for us this past Sunday as we walked through Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom.  On our way to another ride, a Disney cast member approached us and asked if we wanted a sneak peek at Disney World’s all new interactive princess experience, Enchanted Tales with Belle.  I wish I could say that we were given the preview because I’m a blogger, but that wasn’t the case.  Instead, they saw Greenleigh in her Snow White dress and thought we might be interested.  Interested would be an understatement.  So we happily agreed to be guinea pigs, hurried past the man with a clipboard, and ventured through the small door to get a sneak peek at the Fantasyland Expansion set to debut later this yearEnchanted Tales with Belle is an interactive show based on Beauty and The Beast.  After waiting in line, guests enter Maurice’s workshop where a mirror acts as a doorway to the exact date when Belle and The Beast fell in love.  A little Disney magic allows guests to walk through the doorway where they are greeted by Madame Armoire.Guests are then selected to play certain roles in the love story, including Ms. Potts, Chip, knights, and even The Beast.   We were extremely proud when Greenleigh was chosen to play the part of a dinner plate.  Hey, everyone has to start somewhere, right?

Once all the roles are filled, you venture further into the castle, where you’re met by Lumiere, your narrator. And it isn’t long before Princess Belle arrives.Over the course of 5-10 minutes the “Tale as Old as Time” is recreated by guest actors, with lots of guidance from Disney cast members. And at the end, each of the actors is introduced to Belle and pictures are taken.  In the event you forgot your camera, Disney has you covered, because there is a PhotoPass photographer there taking pictures.  As we were leaving our show, they handed us a special Photopass labeled “Enchanted Tales with Belle” with all the pictures from our session.  I haven’t viewed ours yet, but here is the picture I took of Greenleigh and Belle.

The entire experience probably lasts somewhere around 15 minutes, but meant the world to Greenleigh.  This isn’t just the chance to get a picture with a princess, it’s the chance to play out a story with her.  And the groups are kept small so you really feel like it’s an intimate event.  I won’t lie, the wait for this attraction (even during this very exclusive sneak peek) was insane.  And a lot of the wait isn’t under any sort of cover, so you’re waiting in the hot Florida sun, but wow, was it worth it.  I hope and pray that they’ll do a FastPass for this attraction, but even if they don’t, we’ll probably be back.  It’s truly a magical experience, and one that Greenleigh isn’t going to forget anytime soon.
