SunBurnt: Treatment for Sunburns {Review & Giveaway}

The sun has been brutal this summer.  Okay, okay, it’s brutal every summer, but somehow I seem to forget how strong it can get in the months of June, July, and August, after our mild South Florida “winters”…I put that in quotes, because let’s face it 70 degrees and sunny in January, isn’t much of a winter.  And with Greenleigh going on field trips this year at daycare, at least half of which include water activities, I’ve had to be extra diligent about applying sunscreen and sending her with sunglasses.  So it figures that the only one who’s had a sunburn this year is me, right?  Of course.  Thank goodness I now have SunBurnt in the house just in case it happens again.  And for those of you who know how pale I am, I think it’s pretty fair to say that it will happen again.SunBurnt is a homeopathic, Lidocaine-free remedy designed to draw the heat of a sunburn out as it as it rehydrates and repairs the skin that was overexposed to the sun.  It’s made to provide sun burn relief to kids and adults age 2 and up, so it’s good for both busy moms and sun-loving kids.  It works best when it’s applied immediately after sun exposure, and for that reason, they recommend that you carry it with you in your beach bag or where ever you go.  After the initial use, you can apply liberally in regular intervals, making sure to rub the gel in until it dissolves completely into the skin.

Unfortunately when I got sunburned early in the summer, I didn’t have SunBurnt.  Instead, I had to rely on the same old stuff I normally use, which can get sticky and takes forever to work.  When I tested this gel recently, I was really impressed – it had virtually no smell, wasn’t sticky, and dissolved into my skin in no time.  The gel is clear, so I felt as if I were rubbing water on to my skin.  Even now, hours later, the skin where I put the gel has no smell and isn’t sticky.  I’m thrilled to have this in the house for the next time we need it, and I’m considering getting an extra tube for the diaper bag, so relief isn’t far away if we’re out and about.

Want to win some?  One lucky winner will receive their very own tube of SunBurnt!  An essential for your first aid kit and beach bag!
