Dapper Snappers: No Mooning {Review}

We have a serious problem in our house…mooning.  Greenleigh isn’t a great eater, and as a result, she’s pretty thin.  The doctor isn’t worried, but it sure makes shopping for clothes difficult.  I’m constantly using a safety-pin to tighten her clothes or even buying one size smaller than she really needs, to make sure her clothes don’t sag.  Sure, it’s a little funny to see her running around like a toddler rapper, but it’s embarrassing when she screeches at the top of her lungs that her pants are falling down in the checkout line at the grocery store.   And mooning really becomes a problem during the cooler months when she wears jeans, because with jeans, the fabric is too thick to use a safety-pin and if I buy a size smaller, the jeans won’t be long enough.  I’ve considered using belts before, but Greenleigh always ends up playing with them and taking them off.  And the adjustable tabs found inside some pants don’t get them tight enough.  Then I found Dapper Snappers.

Dapper Snappers makes toddler belts different than every other company.  The Dapper Snappers belt is a piece of elastic with snaps on it.  This is what mine looks like (front & back):The snaps allow the belt to be adjusted to a variety of sizes, and best of all, the Dapper Snapper belt is worn only on the back of the pants, so no need to worry about your kid fiddling with their belt or taking it off during the day.  Since it’s behind them, there’s little chance they’ll even give it a thought.  Dapper Snappers come in a variety of colors and sizes – spanning from toddlers all the way up through adults – and are a great way to make adjust the size of hand-me-downs that might not fit perfectly.

Naturally, I picked the pink Dapper Snapper since it’s Greenleigh’s favorite color.  In seconds I had the belt snapped in place and our mooning problem was solved.Not only did it hold her pants in place, but it was barely noticeable.  And I really want to stress that this belt didn’t interfere with Greenleigh’s potty training at all – she was able to go to the bathroom as normal without having to remove the belt from her clothes.  In fact, once I put it on, she didn’t seem to notice it at all. My child was no longer walking around as if she had the number one selling rap album, but instead, as a perfectly clothed little girl.  Just the way I like it.

There’s no mooning in our house anymore!
