It’s been such a crazy, whirlwind of a weekend I didn’t even have a chance to post yesterday in honor of Greenleigh’s 3rd birthday. I don’t know who gets more excited about her birthday – her or me – but this year she certainly knew it was her birthday (and still thinks it’s her birthday today).
To celebrate, I decided that we should do everything that she loves to do. We went to her gym class in the morning, then to brunch on the beach, took a brief dip in the ocean, then headed out to see the ponies, but they were flooded so we rode the miniature trains instead. When the trains closed we headed to the playground. I needed a nap, but she was having a ball. I still owe her some ponies though and she’s not going to let me forget it. Maybe this coming weekend.
I feel like I often get overwhelmed by the toddler years, but these are the days that I want to remember. These are the days that I will miss one day when she’s grown up.

My favorite birthday was #7! My mom invited all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. lots of family and my presents were wrapped so beautifully! I remember my favorite wrapping paper was the Little Mermaid wrap on something my aunt got me. I remember the wrapping paper the most! My mom got me a bunch of board games and Lisa Frank stuff which I loved but, I was most excited that my family was there!
It has to be a homemade closet for my barbie dolls that my Dad & brother made for me. It was perfect. It was barbie doll size and held all my doll clothes, dolls, shoes, etc. They even put in little hangers so I could hang all my doll clothes on. On the front of the doors, they put two rose decals.

We were very very poor…one year for my 5th birthday my dad made me a wooden kitchen. He made it very real with real countertops, fridge shelves, sink, faucet, even a matching table and chairs. He used bits and pieces of whatever he could salvage or find. He then painted it in really cool bright colors. I loved that thing soooo much!!!!!!!!!!

Awww…I’m so sorry to hear that. My parents gave me a gold ring with my initial on it and apparently I let another girl wear it. Of course, she ended up taking it home with her and it was gone. I went up to my mom and asked if I could pleeeaaaaassseeee get a puppy?! 🙂 She paused and said, “OK.” I was shocked was soooo excited!! What I didn’t know until I was older was that my parents had been talking about getting a dog! 🙂 We had Foxy until after I graduated high school and she was the best pup a girl could have ever grown up with!! 🙂
