Personalized & Eco-Friendly: Babadoo Designs {Review}

I love technology and the beauty of email, but I don’t think it will never eliminate the importance of a handwritten note.  At least not for me.  There are some situations that just call for a handwritten expressions – thank you notes for a thoughtful gift, get well cards for someone in the hospital, and certain holidays.  Finding the time to sit down and write something personal might be difficult, but I’m always so happy that I did when I slip the card into the envelope.   And while I know lots of people do it, I prefer to send an invitation in the mail for the girls’ birthday parties as opposed to an evite.  I know it’s simpler to just add email addresses to a list, but there’s just something about putting that invitation in the mail that makes it more special.  I love going out to the mail box and finding a note, invitation, or card.  It’s definitely the bright spot in my day (when did the mail become so spammy, anyway?).

Apparently the folks at Babadoo Designs know me all too well, because they were kind enough to send me a set of personalized stationary to try out.  Their cards are professionally  printed on 100% recycled cardstock, which makes them good for the environment.  Each of their unique and trendy designs is taken from an original watercolor painting and transferred on to the card.  Most importantly, their designs are exclusive, meaning you won’t find it at any other store or on any other website.  Babadoo Designs isn’t limited to stationary though, they carry a full line of announcements, thank you notes, favors, labels, tags, and invitations.

I decided to seize the opportunity and write a note to my mom, as I had planned to send her some of Greenleigh’s artwork for her growing gallery [read: a wall in my mom’s house near her kitchen].  My number one concern with writing on recycled cardstock was that it might be grainy or rough, causing my handwriting to look jagged; however, the cards I received from Babadoo were smooth and on thick, quality cardstock.  I had no problems quickly scribbling a note to my mom letting her know that she was loved and missed.

I love the stationary they sent me, but couldn’t help but check out some of the other designs on their website.And I love this cupcake stationary.  Yum – cupcakes!

And there are a ton more.  You can check out all of the cute options by checking out the Babadoo Designs website or following them on Facebook and Twitter.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. Thanks for reviewing an eco friendly product in time for Earth Day next month. I wonder if you could use the products for recipe card swaps?
