Today, we participated in the Walk for the Animals in support of our local Humane Society. Both of our pets are adopted (our cat Sonoma actually came from the humane society that we supported today) and animal rescue is very important to me, but we’ve always had some kind of conflict in the past that has prevented us from participating in this great annual event. Although it was a little early for us to be up and out of the house, we had a good time…with the exception of the bathroom situation…I learned the hard way that porta-potties are especially problematic when a potty training toddler is involved. Oh my.

Taking this picture sent Greenleigh into hysterics. Apparently her fear of walking characters is alive and well.

And most importantly, Maddie had a great time. I’m pretty sure she’s smiling here.
We are already making plans to attend next year!
Thank you, thank you for walking on behalf of the animals. Maddie definitely smiled for her photo op! I remember when you adopted her. What a wonderful forever home and special life you have given her.
I had a job today, preventing my participation. Maybe Jet, JJ and I can join your pack next year. (good to know about the port-o-potty situation ahead of time.)
